Vietnam Vet...1972-1976. Don't care! I'm sick of all the military BS. associated w/ Nascar. Just have a race and stop all the political mumbo jumbo. No wonder this sport is looked at as a lower tierd sport. If I spelled that wrong.... aahh who cares!

NASCAR treats our military better than it's president does. Pity he can't make a decision about their future under fire. The tiny female Police Sgt. went right to business and didn't blink and eye doing what she had to do...the president would have taken weeks to decide what course of action was required. He like diplomacy...remember? Do you think he'll visit her at the hospital to award her with Valor...maybe just a nice 8x10 glossy color photo...naw!

I am a soldier serving in Iraq, I appreciate the respect and attention that everyone in NASCAR (Fans, Drivers, Announcers, Crews, and everyone else) give to members of Our armed forces!

The majority of the members of our armed forces share many values and attitudes with the fans and other people of NASCAR. Some of this is just good marketing, however, there are many events at tracks, on military and naval bases that are not publicized.

I appreciate when NASCAR gives "salutes" to the people serving in Our armed forces, espically the combat veterans! NASCAR people also give special consideration to Wounded Warriors.

Not only is it propper to offer respect for the murdered and the wounded, this race is occuring near the scene of the attack.I am certain many soldiers from Fort Hood, their friends and Families will be attending the race.
