Teens Who Burned Boy Could Be Released: Prosecutors

The teens charged with setting 15-year-old Michael Brewer on fire were in court today as prosecutors asked for more time to make their case against them.

Steven Shelton, Jesus Mendez, Matthew Bent, and Denver and Jeremy Jarvis were all brought to court from their cells at a juvenile detention center in Broward this morning for the appearance.

I think the assault charges are much to gracious. Please don't slap these young men on the wrist. They knew what they were doing and they showed no remorse they laughed and mocked Brewer as he burned and suffered .If they can do this viscious act to him so easily and basically get off what might they do to you. What message does that send to other juveniles? Give them the max espically the 1 who burned him and the 1 who poured the alchol on him.

They should make examples out of these boys to stop the teen violence from escalating across America. By releasing them, it sends a message to teens that they too can do this and walk away. Remember, even a few months bail is like forever for a teenager. Bet you 10-1 at least some of the families will try to hide their bad teen from prosecution later. Bad families raising bad children.

A six year old knows it's wrong to set someone on fire. These boys need to be incarcerated for life. Their brains are so screwed up, they can never be safely assimilated back into normal society!

Put them in with the general population. That will teach them. Teach them how to take it in the ass and how to swallow loads. They did the crime, now do the time and suffer the consequences.
